The CORSAR group is an interstate rescue collaborative that includes Jackson County, Douglas County, Josephine County, Klamath County, Curry County, Coos County, Oregon State Police, Siskiyou County, Del Norte County, Bureau of Land Management, US Forest Service, Brim Aviation, Crater Lake National Park Service, American Red Cross, and Civil Air Patrol. Their mission is to provide personnel, equipment, education, and training for Search & Rescue services in the Southern Oregon - Northern California Region.
We offer PLI - Project LifeSaver is a nonprofit organization that applies tracking technology for the Search & Rescue of individuals with cognitive disorders such as Autism, Down syndrome, and Alzheimer’s.
The Hug-a-Tree and Survive program teaches children how to survive in the woods should they become lost. The program was developed to educate children in a select few of the most basic and vital survival principles.
DNSAR provides security for the Del Norte County Fair and Fourth of July Fireworks show for nominal fees. Members donate their time so that fees cover DNSAR gear and operating budget.
